Greetings, I'm Walter Lacayo.

I am a proud San Diego native with deep connections throughout Southern California and Mexico. After succeeding my father in leading Prime Business Consulting, it has become my mission to continue his legacy of helping businesses and communities grow. With my background in business development, education, finance, and real estate, I’ve built a solid network and honed the skills needed to help clients maximize their potential. My journey began with a Bachelor's in English Literature from GCU, paired with a strong business foundation from SDSU, giving me a blend of creativity and strategic insight.

Beyond business, I’m deeply committed to community empowerment. I serve on the Board of Directors for two impactful non-profits—Integrating Minority Communities and Transnational Community Corporation—focused on uplifting underserved populations and fostering inclusive growth. This sense of purpose is something I bring to every client relationship, creating lasting bonds based on trust, fairness, and mutual success.

Our Story

Prime Business Consulting, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Walter J. Lacayo Sr., who emigrated from Managua, Nicaragua, with a dream of building a better life for his family. After moving to the U.S., he worked tirelessly, earning degrees in accounting and business administration while supporting his family through various jobs. His passion for helping the underserved, especially the Hispanic community, led him to leave a secure position at the IRS and open his own consulting practice, where he could provide the personalized support his clients desperately needed. From its humble beginnings in Chula Vista, CA, PBC has been dedicated to helping individuals and businesses thrive.

Walter Lacayo Jr. was introduced to the world of business consulting at an early age, working alongside his father throughout high school. His hands-on experience in tax preparation, payroll, and financial consulting laid the groundwork for a career that spanned corporate accounting and finance across various industries. Although Walter Jr. ventured into his own career, holding positions in major companies like Scripps Hospitals and Dignity Health, he was drawn back to the family business after the 2008 financial crisis, recognizing the importance of continuing his father’s legacy of service.

Now at the helm of Prime Business Consulting, Inc, Walter Jr. is committed to the same core principles of integrity and dedication that defined his father’s work.
